Your personal carbon footprint describes the amount of carbon that is emitted as a result of your choices. Renting outfits that are occasionally worn is the easiest and most doable step you can take to do your bit.

Renting with us is simple and stress-free! Here's how it works:

1. Browse & Book - Choose your favorite outfit and select your rental dates at checkout. Need a minor adjustment? We offer small fit tweaks to make sure your outfit feels just right.

2. Pickup or Delivery - You can either pick up your outfit from our store or have it delivered straight to your door—whatever’s more convenient for you.

3. Wear & Enjoy - Dress up and enjoy your moment! Whether it’s for a special event, shoot, or just because—you’ll look amazing.

4. Return It - Done with your rental? Just return it using the prepaid return label, or drop it off at our store. No need to worry about cleaning—we’ll handle that!

Easy access through TTC (Situated just above Sheppard subway station) and 401 (Paid parking available onsite).

Step 1: Select the desired outfit for rental from our curated collection.

Step 2: Pick a date on the calendar.

Step 3: Choose between a 4 day rental or a 7 day rental. If you want for more days, add extra days ($5 per day per outfit).

Step 4: Add your delivery address and make the payment.

You will receive an email confirmation after payment. Our team will reach out to you personally to confirm your measurements to make sure custom fit of the rental piece.

You can pay using a credit card, debit card or e-transfer. Please note that we will charge you at the time of placing the order, not on delivery. 

A flat deposit of $100 will be charged at checkout, in addition to your rental fee. This deposit will be refunded to you once the product(s) are returned on time and in good condition, based on the rental duration you selected.

However, the full deposit will not be refunded under the following circumstances:

1. Late Returns: If the item is returned after the rental end date, a late fee of $10 per day will be deducted from the deposit. If the late fee exceeds the deposit, you will be invoiced for the remaining amount.

2. Significant Damage: The deposit will not be refunded if the item is returned with damage beyond normal wear and tear (e.g., red wine stains, irremovable food stains, or irreparable tears). In this case, you will also be charged the remaining retail value of the garment.

3. Lost or Stolen Item: If the item is lost or stolen, the deposit will not be refunded, and you will be invoiced for the retail value of the product, minus the deposit.

Yes! Plans change—we totally get it, and we’re pretty flexible about it.

If you need to make changes, they must be done at least 2 days before your rental start date. You’ll receive a store credit (with no expiry date!) that can be used toward any future rental. You’re also welcome to swap your dress for another one (as long as it’s available). Any difference in price will be charged or credited at the time of the swap.

Please note: all rental bookings are non-refundable.

The next person who was planning on having this product and is super excited for it, will most likely no longer be able to receive it in time. You would hate to be that person yourself, so please be courteous to your borrowed neighbor!
Late fees are charged at $15 per item per day and are strictly enforced. However in case of internal impediments such as return designated on days we're closed, no extra fees would be charged if returned a day later. If you don't think you'll be able to return your dress on time, you may add on a one-day delivery option for $55 (Within GTA) at the time of booking.

CLEANING - We take care of cleaning. You just focus on enjoying the event.

SHIPPING - You can pickup outfit from our studio free of cost. If you wish to take delivery it is charged depending on the area it is being delivered.

RENTAL INSURANCE - Rental insurance is not mandatory but recommended. Our rental insurance is $10 per product.

Yes, we have a physical store, at Hullmark Centre - Unit 1201, 4789 Yonge St, Toronto, ON M2N 0G3, and we're online too.

We want our outfits to fit you like a glove. Once you book your outfit, you will receive an invoice. In that invoice you will find women and men sizing information form that you need to fill. We offer minor adjustments to the rentals to make sure it fits you. In case outfit cannot be made fit to your size, one of our team member will reach out to you to discuss alternate options. 

Ofcourse, we always want to hear good things ....you can write about your experience on Google. Or you can tag us on our social media pages Facebook, Instagram. You may also send us an email describing your experience and even a picture of you in our dress/ accessory. We will be happy to feature it on our website—with your permission, of course.

Yes, we understand. It might be your first time wearing something Indian-ethnic, and we are with you throughout the process. We have made videos for every step to make your Ethnic wear journey as seamless as possible. Moreover, if you have any last-minute questions about draping or styling, we are here for you. Most of our women's outfits are adjustable to fit many sizes, with their detailed size ranges listed in inches under the Fit Info tab of each product.

Sarees: The actual sarees are one size fits all. The saree is a long piece of fabric that you wrap around your self and can tuck in the fabric in the underskirt that we provide you to adjust based on your height.

Lehengas: The lehenga skirts are also adjustable to fit info as the waist come with a tie string that you can tighten (the max skirt waist size is listed under the Fit Info. The blouses for both sarees and lehengas are adjustable to an extent (size range listed in inches) but you can always pair the lehenga or saree with your own cute top!

Salwar Kameez: It comes in different sizes. It is mostly listed in the product description.

For men, we highly recommend knowing your chest size (36, 38, 40, 42 etc). This way, you can use the filter on the left side of the men's collection page to select your numerical Sherwani Size, and only outfits that match your suit size will show.

It happens, we understand, and most issues can be fixed. We strongly recommend opting for our $10 Rental Insurance (per product) which covers you for small wear and tear issues including small stains, rips, zipper issues, missing sequins, beads or buttons etc.

If you choose not to purchase the rental insurance, you will be charged for any minor repairs needed upon return of the dress. The MyEthnikRentals reserves the right to determine whether damages are covered by our rental insurance. If the dress is lost during your rental period or returned damaged beyond repair you will be charged the full retail value of the dress.

While many of our outfits start as brand new when added to our inventory, they eventually become pre-loved through rentals. We carefully repair any noticeable tears or issues that could affect the appearance of the outfit, and each item is thoroughly cleaned to remove any stains.

Our Toronto studio is open 6 days a week for walk-ins, so come by whenever it's convenient for you.

You can reserve dresses up to 6 months in advance, or even on the same day, through our store, online, or by phone!

To secure your dress for your chosen date, simply make the full payment of the rental fee. You can select a 4 or 7 days or customize the rental period and choose between delivery or in-store pick-up when you make your reservation.

If you choose a different outfit, any price difference will be adjusted accordingly. For cancellations, for upto 2 days before your rental start date, you'll receive a store credit in the form of virtual gift card that never expires. Please note that all rentals are non-refundable. We will do our best to ensure your garments arrive wrinkle-free. If, in any case your item arrives with wrinkles or creases caused during shipment, please try steaming the garment. Please do not iron any of the garments. Only steam. You can always contact us to get recommendations on how to best steam the garment.

All our outfits are thoroughly cleaned according to garment care instructions, using either wet or dry cleaning methods. They are also steam-pressed to ensure they are both fresh and crisp.

Our clothing undergoes meticulous cleaning and inspection by our highly-efficient team members. We use non-toxic, eco-friendly cleaning agents that effectively eliminate viruses and bacteria. This careful process guarantees that each garment is delivered to our borrowers in pristine, like-new condition.

No! While our outfits complement South Asian events, they're versatile enough for various occasions. Pair a ballet top or bodysuit with one of our beautiful skirts for a standout look.

Our accessories, packaging, and other products are fastidiously disinfectant and sterilized in-house with non-toxic, eco-friendly, heavy-duty cleaning agents after they are returned to us.

No, we do not buy garments from any other sources apart from our contracted partners. 

Our procurement process is rooted in sustainability. We work directly with Indian designers and craftsmen based in rural regions who are deeply connected to the essence of ethnic fashion. This supply chain empowers local artisans while balancing procurement costs and fast-changing fashion trends. For this reason, we source exclusively from our trusted, contracted partners and do not accept garments from any other suppliers.

"We deliver all over Canada! Your rental will come with a pre-paid, pre-addresses return label that you simply drop off to the carrier on the last day of your rental term. We also offer a FREE local in-studio pick-up and drop off option from our Toronto studio."

MyEthnikRentals has been built with a mission to show more love for our planet and reduce our carbon footprint. So we advise all our clients to return your borrowed items in the same box and bags that they came in. If not returned then $10 will be deducted from the Refundable Security Deposit.
